Version History
Version 1.0.7
(10 May 2002)
- Conversion of RTF: Now files with the Mac type "
RTF " can also be converted, not just text files (the Mac type "TEXT").
- Conversion to unformatted text: Converted text can be restricted to the ISO 8859-1 character set. Useful if the text is to be included in an e-mail.
- Conversion to unformatted text: Headings can be converted to uppercase.
- Dialogues for opening and saving: The dialogues have titles describing the dialogues, and the buttons reflect the action more accurately (i.e. Convert instead of Open).
Version 1.0.6
(31 December 2001)
- Text Adjustment: The characters », «, “, ” and „ can now be converted to the selected type of quotes.
- Conversion to Mac text: Fixed a bug introduced in version 1.0.5 that prevented editing of the preferences for paragraph styles.
Version 1.0.5
(27 December 2001)
- Convert from Clipboard: The content of the clipboard can be converted: Select “Convert Clipboard” or press cmd-K.
- Conversion of Text Clippings: Text from another application or from a text clipping can now be dragged to the introduction window or to the icon of the application for conversion.
- Convert to Clipboard: The converted text can be placed on the clipboard for easy pasting into another document.
- Opening of Files: More than one document at a time can be dragged to the introduction window for conversion.
- Preference Dialogues: Some of the text in connection with lists of paragraph styles (menu items and help baloons) was not translated from Danish to English. Fixed.
- Interpretation of HTML: Scripts, ie. text between
<script> and </script>, are not included in the conversion.
- Interpretation of HTML: Two adjacent special character written as entities with numbers – like
…… – were not interpreted correctly. This bug is now fixed.
- Text Adjustment: 'Straight' apostrophes can now be converted to ‘x’ or ’x’.
- Text Adjustment: One can now choose not to convert ' and " after numbers, for instance 12" eller 1'34".
- Text Adjustment: The content of the pop-up menu for conversion of formatting using the underscore character (_xxx_) is now translated to English.
- Text Adjustment: The replacement text for images can now be edited (the field was hidden by mistake in the last version).
- Conversion to HTML: Lower-case letters are used for tags (
<p class="normal"> instead of <P CLASS="normal">) for better compatibility with xhtml.
- Conversion to HTML: For better compatibility with xhtml, names for „anchors“ for footnote references now start with
r, e.g. r13 for the reference to footnote no. 13.
- Conversion to HTML: One can convert to xhtml instead of html. Conversion to xhmtl differs from html in the following ways:
1) New DOCTYPE declaration. Moreover, <?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1"?> is added at the top of the document.
2) All tags are terminated. If a tag, e.g. <br>, is not followed by an end tag, e.g. </br>, the tag is written with a / in the end, e.g. <br />. This applies to tags like <br />, <img />, <hr />, <link /> and <meta />.
3) Anchors are written id="…" instead of name="…".
- Conversion to RTF: The names of the default paragraph styles are now correct in the rtf document.
- Conversion to RTF: Limited support for dotted underline when converting to RTF. Emphasis and strong emphasis from HTML can now be converted to dotted underline, and dotted underline from RTF is not changed to plain text.
- Conversion to RTF: The paragraph style for headings now is set so that lines are kept together and kept together with the next line. This prevents headings from ending on the bottom of the page.
- Conversion to RTF: The • character and a tab character are now inserted, if selected for the paragraph style in question. This did not work in the last version.
- Conversion to RTF: Settings for bold, italic and underline did not have any effect for the default paragraph style. Fixed.
- Paragraph Styles: New default preferences for text formatting of paragraphs.
